Introducing The Fretuodle, a daily fretboard challenge by Fretuoso
We are proud to announce The Fretuodle, a new daily fretboard challenge by Fretuoso®! It runs right in your browser, and you can play it now at fretuodle.com.
The Fretuodle takes its inspiration from Wordle and the other daily games that followed it: one puzzle a day, a few minutes of your time, and a result you’ll want to share. We thought that format was a perfect fit for learning the fretboard (and a lot more fun than flash cards).
The idea is simple. Every day brings a new musical theme: pick Guitar, Bass or Ukulele (high-G), preview the scale, then name each marked note on the fretboard. Each instrument gets its own challenge built around the same daily theme, so the bass player in your band has no excuse.
A few rules of the game:
- You get one attempt per question, so no guessing your way through all twelve notes.
- Accuracy first. Time breaks ties.
- A new Fretuodle drops every night at midnight New York time.
- Your stats and streaks are tracked, and you can share your result with a link (or send a challenge link and dare your friends to beat you).
- Want another go? Practice runs won’t affect your official score, stats or streak.
There is no account to create - no email, no phone number. Just open the page and play. If you need a nudge, you can turn on a browser reminder (at most one a day, we promise).
When one challenge a day isn’t enough, the new learning library covers the notes on the fretboard and the scales in every key for each instrument. And of course, you can keep practicing on your phone or tablet with the Fretuoso app.
Give it a try, start a streak, and let us know how you score!
